
At its regular meeting today, October 28, the Cabinet backed a proposal of the State Emergency Commission to extend the period of heightened state of readiness until the end of this year, with the purpose to prevent the COVID-19 pandemic and mitigate the risks.
According to October 27, 339 cases of COVID-19 were recorded in Mongolia, of whom 312 patients made recoveries, and 27 patients are undergoing treatment at NCCD. Of the patients, seven are in moderate and 20 people are in mild condition.
According to the 13th risk assessment carried out on October 25, the risk of importing infection and spreading among the population has been assessed as ‘high’.
As of today, a total of 26192 people have been repatriated; 19611 citizens by 99 charter flights from over 80 countries and 6581 citizens by ground transport.
