Means of Protection for the City

The epidemiological situation in the capital remains tense. By joining forces, we continue to fight COVID-19 and pneumonia.

The «Soros-Kyrgyzstan» Foundation donated personal protective equipment to the City Health Department 14,500 pairs of medical gloves and 432 liters of hand sanitizer.

The means of protection were distributed to the mobile teams of the United Centers of Family Medicine (UCFM) in four districts, the emergency medicine center (ambulance) and the city clinical hospital № 1.

Also on the eve of the international non-profit humanitarian organization of children’s education, community development and emergency projects Good Neighbors International donated 4 thousand medical masks and 480 pieces of KN-95 respiratory masks to the capital.

Recall that from the first reports of the spread of COVID-19, the city health department of the capital municipality created mobile teams to provide medical support to the residents.

From March 25 to November 18, at the request of the residents to the call center for self-diagnosis – 118 and to the helplines of the centers of family medicine (RFMC) mobile teams made 46,104 visits, 46 thousand 361 people took swabs for PCR research.

Today, 18 mobile brigades are functioning in the city.

The Mayor’s Office of Bishkek sincerely thanks the Soros-Kyrgyzstan Foundation and Good Neighbors International for their helping hand in such a difficult time.

Dear citizens! Please! Do not self-medicate! Take care of yourself and your loved ones.
