On March 22, 2020, due to a quarantine an emergency transfer of patients from the City Clinical Hospital №21 named after prof. E. G. Popkova of Dnipro City Council to other hospitals in the city was made. As of today, the above hospital provides medical care solely to the patients with coronavirus.

Mobile Team

Four Mobile Teams of qualified medical workers operate in Dnipro. If considered necessary, the number of the Teams will be increased.

To collect samples for screening for coronavirus infection with PCR (polymerase chain reaction) system health workers visit patients at home. All medical workers are provided with individual protective gear and visit potentially infected persons according to a particular algorithm approved by the Health Department. Since 03.04.2020 Mobile Team has made 174 visits and examined 451 patients (6 positive results).

It is up only to a family physician to decide if there is a necessity to call for the Mobile Team. The examination is free of charge.
