Ulaanbaatar district hospitals and health resorts to be used for isolation accommodation

In correlation with the first case of the COVID-19 infection recorded in Mongolia from a French national, the Capital city Emergency Commission held an urgent meeting, giving ordinance to state and private-owned entities.

Health centers of districts, and health resorts and some private hospitals in Ulaanbaatar will be used as accomnodation for isolation and monitoring of patients. Thus, emergency commissions of districts are currently conducting a study on suitable hospitals and health resorts for the matter. Certain measures such as limiting the operating hours of markets and wholesale shopping centers until March 16, and creating the conditions for some state servants to work online. However, food and homeware markets will continue to operate normally.

Executives were also obliged to not hold meetings with citizens from countries that have cases of the coronavirus infection, and ensure preparedness for communication. Furthermore, corresponding officials were obliged to have entities offering fast food and delivery services go under decontamination, specifically determine the locations the French national has stayed at and went to, conduct study on the people that have been in contact, and test them for the virus infection.
